Horror As Huge Lion Attacks And Drags Man Away In Front Of Screaming Family (Video)

A man has been attacked and dragged away by a huge lion after he reportedly entered into the animal's enclosure.

Distressing footage shows an elderly man being attacked by a huge male lion at a wildlife park, according to a report by The Sun.

 

The sad incident believed to have been filmed on Saturday at the Makarele Predator Centre in South Africa, shows the victim entering the big cat's enclosure while witnesses look on.

 

He is quickling spotted by the lion, the man reportedly said to be the owner of the park tries to escape as the lion chased after him but was stopped by the metal door of the facility.

 

In astonishing scenes, the elderly man is dragged like a rag doll towards some bushes. Onlookers scream for help while the animal paws the pensioner who does not appear to be moving.

 

Shortly after the lion drags the man further into the bushes, gun shots ring out, scaring the lion away. But the predator still remains near the victim while more shots are fired into the air.

 

 

One girl who watches the attack is heard crying in horror as another man shouts for someone to “get a rifle.”

 

The dramatic clip, which has emerged online, ends after 90 seconds.

 

It is unclear why the man, who is reportedly in a critical condition, entered the lion’s lair.

 

The animal has reportedly been killed following the attack.
