The High Court’s Commercial division has on Monday 23rd April 2018 issued an immediate order effecting the arrest of city tycoon Jack Pemba after defaulting fellow Godfrey Kirumira millions of shillings.
Ugbliz has learnt that the commercial battle between the two wealthy Kampala personalities originates way back in 2017 when Kirumira lent Pemba over 1.1 billion UGX which Pemba was obliged to pay back in phases but decided to go missing.
The high court document our moles have managed to snipe out is addressed to a one Moses Mutesasira, a court bailiff doing trade with T/A Mutesasira Associates that is commanding him to ensure that Pemba is behind bars after failing to appear before the court even when after he was served with a notice to show to explain his side of the story before the magistrate.
“These are to command you to serve the respondent defendant, unless he deposits Us$300,000 with court or furnish some other sufficient security to satisfy the plaintiff’s claim, or guarantee his appearance, you are to bring the said respondent/defendant Jack Pemba before the honorable court with all convenient speed,” reads part of the order.
We are yet to see socialite Jack Pemba back to the village as poor as a church mouse.
